By using SaneShopping.com, you agree to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this policy. If we make any significant changes to this policy, we will notify you by posting a notice of such changes on the login page. This policy is an accurate description of current practices and is subject to change as the website changes in services and features over time.

Registration

In order to use this Web site, you must first complete the registration form and create a user name and password. During registration you give contact information (such as name and email address). We use this information to contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest. By default, we will send a welcome email, an email upon completion of each request, email notification of comments left about your reports or profile, and a soon-to-be-launched monthly newsletter. Each email provides an 'opt-out' link for that type of email; these contact setting may also be changed from the user preferences menu. Also, you can always contact us directly about this or other concerns by emailing support@saneshopping.com.

ClayValet, Inc. collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on SaneShopping.com. ClayValet, Inc. is the sole owner of the information collected on SaneShopping.com.

Orders

If you purchase a product or service from a third party through us, that party may request certain personally identifiable information from you. You should refer to that party's privacy policy.

Uses of Information

• We will never spam you or give your email address to anyone.
• You control when and how we send messages to you (via the preferences menu, or through email).
• We do share your shopping requests and our reports with other users by default.
• You can wipe your account at any time (contact support@saneshopping.com).
• You can choose to make a request anonymous, so that others won't know you submitted it.

You will receive an initial email welcoming you to SaneShopping.com. We will email you reports once they are complete, but you can turn off these emails. We will email you notifications about comments on your reports or profile, though you can turn these off as well. We are launching a monthly newsletter, which you may also choose not to receive. Lastly, we will also send you email when you ask us to reset your password. Links are included in each email to 'opt-out' of receiving that sort of email; the user preferences menu also allows one to select which types of email to receive if any, and finally one may email support@saneshopping.com such that we may change settings manually.

We will never disclose your email address without your permission.

We will never sell, rent or share your personal information with a 3rd party, especially your email addresses, without your express permission, unless required by law.

We give you full control over your information, including the ability to wipe it from our system.

You can update your account information and preferences at any time. You can destroy your account when you choose by emailing support@saneshopping.com.

What information do we collect?

Personal: Name, email addresses, password

All passwords are stored on our server in encrypted form - not even we can tell what they are! If you lose your password, we will generate a new one and send it to you.

Optional: Gender, date-of-birth, zip code

These help us gather demographic information on our users. We may also share this information in the aggregate only. See above.

Transactions: Shopping requests ("I want to buy...") and comments.

We will share your shopping history with other users so they can also benefit from your shopping experience.

Usage: Number of logins, last login, activity and error logs

This data helps us monitor SaneShopping's health, and diagnose errors and slowness issues when they crop up. Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we will send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email. You may also receive notification of comments about your requests or profile and a monthly newsletter; you may choose which sorts of communications you wish to receive, if any, through the preferences menu, by clicking opt-out links in emails, or by contacting us directly at support@saneshopping.com.

Profile

As is done with most web sites, we log each visit to each web page, largely for debugging purposes. A log entry can contain information typically found in the "header" of your web browser's request such as the browser type you used, your IP address, and the date and time. We may also log your cookie's identification number and the URL of the last site you visited. This log information is important for security, audit, quality improvement, as well as for monitoring the health of our service.

We store information that we collect through cookies, log files, clear gifs, and/or to create a "profile" of your preferences. SaneShopping.com sends a "cookie" to your computer that contains an identification number that is unique to the computer you are using. We use this cookie to provide you with a continuous experience (to maintain state data), and for us to record how our service is being used so that we know what to improve.

We do not share your profile with third parties. Your history of requests is available in the database but can be removed as per your request. Anonymization and/or removal of requests is possible; if you cannot find these commands online (as we redesign the site), please contact support@saneshopping.com for such requests.

Information Sharing and Disclosure Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)

We do not share aggregated demographic information about our user base with our partners and advertisers. Aggregated information does not identify individual users, nevertheless we do not share it. We do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information. The information we collect is our database of user requests associated with usernames.

Your requests are viewable by the general public on the website and are identified with your username. Someone could possibly connect you to your username. You may remove your requests, change your username, or erase your account by contacting support@saneshopping.com.

By default we do not share any information about you except for the requests associated with your username, and you may choose to anonymize these requests. If you submit material to the user profile page (such as a photograph or self-description) this material could be personally identifiable and could be viewed by other users (as is its purpose).

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.
